Sometimes the creation of a new band project just needs the perfect timing of a great gig opportunity and a strong musical motivation as its main ingredients. The creation of “The B.Wrights”, led by Hootie & the Blowfish bandmates Mark Bryan and Jim ‘Soni’ Sonefeld, has both of those ingredients going for them!

Playing and writing together since 1989 when Sonefeld became the new drummer for Hootie & the Blowfish, the two bandmates are well-seasoned in filling the gaps between Hootie tours with original projects of their own. But, the “B.Wrights” incarnation, named after a long time friend and Hootie security guard Buddy Wright, has them both excited to put an Americana/Bluegrass twist on a variety of their solo tunes, a few old school favorites, and some Hootie & the Blowfish classics that the fans will eat up.
